Monthly Outreach Project: KOVAR April 17th & 18th

Help the Intellectually Disabled!!!

KOVAR is a Virginia Knights of Columbus 501(c) (3) tax-exempt charity established in 1971 to provide financial assistance through grants and home loans to tax-exempt organizations providing training and assistance to citizens with intellectual disabilities.

One major focus area of KOVAR is to assist in helping people with intellectual disabilities to live independently. One recent example is the Virginia Knights were able to enhance the lives of Virginians with intellectual disabilities by awarding a grant to HopeTree Family Services in February to benefit three Developmental Disability Ministry residential group homes.

Knights of Columbus Santa Maria Council #4654 supports OLGC and is active in raising funds for KOVAR.

The Knights will be collecting funds for KOVAR after each Mass during the weekend of April 17/18. If you will not physically be at a Mass that weekend there are 2 ways you can donate to support KOVAR:

  1. Donate by check: Make checks payable to KOVAR and write Council #4654 in the memo line of the check. Send checks to: KOVAR, 5588 Needleton Ave., Woodbridge, VA 22193.
  2. Donate by credit card: Go to the following URL which is located on our state KOVAR website: https://donate.givedirect.org/?cid=1467 Fill out the form to donate and in the Council Name enter Santa Maria #4654.
