Thank you, thank you, thank you!  From the bottom of my heart, thank you to this amazing OLGC community!  Thank you for the outpouring of love and support through our Day of Giving yesterday and today.  Your generosity will make so many improvements possible for our students and we cannot wait for you to see them.  Equally as important, thank you for your kind understanding and grace with our decision for this past Monday's asynchronous learning day.  I know it was unexpected, caused ripple effects for all, but you responded with such kindness and compassion for our wonderful staff and we greatly appreciate it.

Please know that throughout this incredibly challenging year we have all tried our very best to make things run as smoothly as possible.  It has been a tough year and it has not all gone according to plans at times, and it has come at various costs.  When we worked all summer to make the plans for this upcoming school year, we had no idea what would happen.  I remember we all prayed for at least two weeks in-person for our students to meet their teachers and their classmates and for their teachers and their classmates to have time to get to know each other.  Never in our wildest dreams did we think we would be in-person the majority of the year and it is now mid-February.  To say we are grateful to everyone for their continued diligence and careful thought about our community is certainly an understatement.

Please know that as your leaders, we try so very hard to make the best decisions in each and every circumstance and I assure you that much time and thought is put into every choice we make along the way.  If you ever have any questions on why something was done, all you have to do is ask and we will explain to the best of our ability.  We value the trust you have put in us to make those decisions, and I promise we will continue to do our very best to meet and hopefully even exceed your expectations.  After all, we strive every single day to "be who we are and be that well" here at OLGC!

Thank you for all you do to make OLGC such a special community!  We can see the light at the end of the tunnel, and while we still have a ways to go in this battle, we are definitely, "in Christ, stronger together!"
