Well, well, well…here I am paying $25 for expedite shipping of my holiday cards yet again!  I tell myself every year that I am going order in September but here I am…again!!!

The holidays are a joyous time filled with memory making activities, excitement and fun.  However, what also comes along for the ride is stress, anxiety and lack of patience.  How many times have you said “Hurry up!  Put your shoes and coat on…we are going to have some Christmas FUN for goodness sake!  COME.ON!”?

Well I hope you take a breather and remember it will not be the end of the world if Santa has to eat store bought cookies or that your kid is wearing tennis shoes with their Christmas outfit because somehow their foot grew in the last 24hrs.  It’s all good!  Try to enjoy it.

Remember don’t forget about signing up for the Joy of Christmas Giving!  And we want to hear your voices – don’t forget about the parish survey -- deadline is tomorrow!  It is important to hear from our school families.

Have a great week!  But before I go:

What happened to the man who stole an Advent Calendar?

He got 25 days.

Come on!  That was pretty good!

Happy Tuesday,

Celeste Flores, PTO President

  • REMINDER  OLGC’s Joy of Christmas Giving:  The December outreach project has a new name.  The Parish has been working to combine "The Giving Tree" and the "Adopt-A-Family" programs, so that we are able to support our local community in a more meaningful way.  In the last two years, the demand in our local community has increased to the point that we are expanding our family support.  This year, Grades 3-8 will each adopt two families, one per class.  Be on the lookout for an email from your room parent.  Grades PK–2 will follow the “Giving Tree” format using the SignUpGenius to choose toys or other gifts that are needed.  Another way to assist children and families in the area is with diapers, pullups, and wipes, or monetary donations to Iliff’s Pediatric Unit to help fund education and entertainment programs.  Use this link to signup, there are multiple tabs in which you can support individuals this Christmas.
