Well it looks like our winter weather still challenges us to adapt and be flexible with our scheduling. Students will now be joining our parishioners at 8:30 Mass tomorrow for this week. Please feel to join us as always.
Thank you for your generous participation in our Out of Uniform Day on Valentine's Day. We were able to raise around $515 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. What a wonderful way to help others and enjoy the holiday together!
One of the greatest traditions we have at OLGC, the House League Basketball Tournament, starts tomorrow night. We will have an OLGC Spirit Day tomorrow, Friday February 22nd to celebrate the beginning of the annual tournament. Please come out and cheer on the 4th and 5th grade girls and boys throughout the weekend and support the concessions run by the 5th grade for our auction fundraising.
I also have one new request with regards to afternoon carpool. If you end up being the first car parked in your row at the afternoon carpool time could you please turn your vehicle off until it is time to leave? As we continue to look for ways to improve our safety measures, we think it would be safer to have those vehicles turned off while our Preschool siblings are crossing at the end of the school day. As always, we appreciate your help in continuing our efforts to keep our children as safe as possible!

International Day Parade! International Day is on Friday, March 8th and we need student participants and parent volunteers to make the day a success. Students can sign up to walk in the parade in their chosen country's costume and/or carrying that nation's flag. Parents, please consider volunteering on Thursday, March 7th after carpool to decorate the gym, and on the morning of Friday, March 8th to help dress students in costume and line up the parade. A Sign Up Genius will be posted soon! Please contact Carolyn Holden firstname.lastname@example.org or Carola Williamson email@example.com with any questions you may have. Thanks for helping to make our International Day a fun learning experience for all!
Looking for Digital Cameras: Middle School students have the opportunity to learn about the art of photography. We hope to have a point and shoot digital camera for each student to use for a photography class. If you have an old point and shoot camera with an SD card, please consider donating it for our class. We are also accepting donations of old SD cards. Questions, contact Mrs. Williamson (firstname.lastname@example.org).
