BRRR! I hope this finds you warming up after a very cold weekend. Happy almost-Catholic Schools Week! I am looking forward to all the wonderful events our School faculty and administration have planned to celebrate.
As a member of the PTO Board and the Wildcat Fund Steering Committee, I'd like to call your attention to one part of Catholic Schools Week: the NCEA's, the National Catholic Education Association's, Day of Giving. As you know, our parish launched the Wildcat Fund, our new School Annual Fund to support teacher development and retention, need-based scholarships, and special School projects, in December. From 12 noon, Tuesday, January 29th until 12 noon, Wednesday January 30th, any gift given to OLGC through the NCEA website will benefit the Wildcat Fund. If you are considering a gift to the Wildcat Fund, we encourage you to give during the Day of Giving, either through then NCEA website or through the OLGC website.
Our fundraising campaign runs until mid-March, and the Steering Committee is reaching out to every School family in an effort to get 100% participation in the Fund. If you have not been contacted and would like to be, or if you have any questions about the Fund and its purpose, please do not hesitate to contact me. We have made great progress—almost $90,000--toward our goal of $150,000, and we look forward to getting the rest of the way there with your help by March 15th.
