Our Lady of Good Counsel offers a balanced approach to education, developing faith-filled, life-long learners, through a play-based and developmentally appropriate curriculum.

Preschool is an introduction to play-based learning, an opportunity to cultivate friendships and a time to blossom in independence and self-awareness. Through individual, small group, and whole group instruction, students begin to explore the wonders of language, literacy, mathematics, religion, and the arts. Our program thoughtfully and purposefully incorporates these concepts into everyday play and classroom activities. With a balanced and developmentally appropriate focus on social, emotional, physical, religious, and academic growth, OLGC fosters a program where your child will grow as a student and friend in a safe and nurturing environment. Your child is a blessing, let OLGC be blessed with the presence of your child.

Our preschool staff has full access to the resources of both our school and church communities. Each class has a Lead Teacher and an Assistant Teacher with a maximum of 10-15 students.

A typical day includes activities that foster pre-reading, writing and math readiness skills in a play-based environment. Open-ended art activities, faith formation, outdoor play and rest time for full-day students. Our preschoolers enjoy music and movement activities and hands-on science experiences. We visit the elementary school for library time, gym, and other designated activities.
