Our Lady of Good Counsel offers a balanced approach to education, developing faith-filled, life-long learners, through a play-based and development-focused curriculum.
Our preschool staff will have full access to the resources of both our school and church communities. Each class will have a teacher and an assisting teacher with a maximum of 13-15 students. A typical day will include age-appropriate learning and instruction, faith formation, play and rest time, and creative pursuits.
Our Wee Wildcats will have the opportunity to participate in Music and Movement, Arts and Crafts, Science Projects and more! Our dedicated teachers at OLGC will assist with age-appropriate curriculum to allow preschool students to continue the learning and development process. We will also take “field trips” to the elementary school library, attend Chapel time and Mass, and much more!
Our preschool classrooms will be located in the lower level of DeSales Hall. This area consists of four large classrooms, a music room, restrooms, and a large lobby area. It offers a private entrance, plenty of indoor space to move and play and a dedicated outdoor playground. The adjacent parking lot allows for convenient and safe drop-off and pick-up.
Lunch Bunch and Snacks
Lunch Bunch offers students the opportunity to learn about eating in a social setting and will be available on a daily basis.
Children who participate in the half day programs will have the option of staying for lunch for an additional $12 per day. Children who participate in our full day programs will have lunch bunch included in tuition.
All snacks and lunches will be provide by OLGC and will consider allergies and dietary restrictions.
Extended Care Hours
OLGC will provide two options for those families who need extended care. Early drop-off will be available beginning at 7:30 am each morning for an additional cost of $15 per day. After school care will be available until 5:00 pm for an additional cost of $20 per day. All extended care will be reserved on semester basis. Drop-in options will not be available unless in case of emergencies.
Students will be required to wear a uniform consisting of shorts and a gym shirt for the fall and spring, and sweatpants and sweatshirt for the winter months. This is consistent with our elementary school P.E. uniforms. Shoes should be closed-toe athletic shoes appropriate for play indoors and outdoors.
