Professional Background
I was employed during college and after graduation by RCA Corp. (now GE) in sales. Jim and I married and started our family. With the birth of our first child, I began an extended leave from the professional world. Eleven children later- 4 boys and 7 girls, ages 33 to 10 years, I am back to work. Two years ago, I started teaching at St. John the Apostle Preschool in Leesburg. I loved being in the classroom again and am thrilled to be starting this new adventure teaching at OLGC.
Faith in Action

I am a Bishop O’Connell graduate and all of our children have attended or will attend O’Connell. My children have also attended St. Luke, McLean and OLGC. I know what a difference Catholic education can make in a child’s life as it has been a positive force in my own life. In the classroom, I want students to learn that living our lives of faith means living our lives with love, concern and compassion for others and our world.

Favorite Teaching Moment
I love being in the classroom and I look at everyday as having the chance of being The Best Day Ever.

Favorite Food
Dumplings. Every countries version. Every possible filling.

Favorite Activity Outside of School
I love to travel, hike and swim. I am attempting to visit and hike in every US National Park. Glacier is my current favorite. I can often be found on my front porch, reading with my two dogs at my feet.

Fun Fact About Me
I am a collegiate rower.
