Bachelor's Degree in Social Science with Minor in Early Childhood Education from James Madison University
Master's Degree in Education from George Mason University
I taught First Grade in Fairfax County Public Schools for 9 years at Cunningham Park Elementary School. Then, I had the opportunity to teach Kindergarten for 3 years at Coates Elementary School. When my children were born, I stayed home with them for 4 years and then began teaching again at Holy Comforter Episcopal Preschool. I taught there for 2 years. Now my children attend OLGC and I am blessed to teach First Grade at this amazing school!
It is so important to have a strong faith and bring that to the young children in my classroom. Each and every day, I model how to make good decisions and treat everyone with love, care and respect. I believe that it is so important to teach faith and love to children in my classroom and guide them to follow our Catholic faith all throughout their lives.
My favorite teaching moment was when I saw my students standing up for a classmate, who was being left out on the playground. It made me realize that all the time spent on creating a classroom community was making a difference in their lives.
I love to walk in the mornings before school! I also love to go shopping!
I went to OLGC school when I was little and now my kids are going here! We all love OLGC!
