Professional Background
Early Childhood Education is my passion! I have over twenty years experience in the preschool setting, both as a teacher and as a director. I also have over ten years experience as a kindergarten teacher, having taught in Fairfax County Public Schools as well as in the Arlington Diocese. Most recently I served as Program Director at Emmanuel Lutheran Preschool. I was involved in developing the educational goals and implementing the daily lesson plans for the school. In addition, was responsible for the hiring and supervision of staff and adherence to VA licensing requirements. I also have experience working with teachers and parents in referring children with special needs to Fairfax County Early Childhood Services for screenings when needed. I particularly enjoy working with four year-olds, helping to cultivate their school readiness skills!
I am an active member of the OLGC community.
