Mrs. Irene Zaso
Degrees: Bachelors of Arts - George Mason University
Professional Background: I had a fulfilling career in Government Intelligence and Law Enforcement at the U.S. Secret Service where I developed my God given talent of organization, analytical thinking and testing, technology use, my protective nature, and how to work with people. After a decade of service, I was able to say I helped the world be a better place and accomplished teaching agents who were proficient in investigations and use of weapons to also be proficient in computer use.
The protective side of me was enhanced when I became a mom and it was time to use my talents elsewhere. Volunteering at my children's schools; OLGC, Gonzaga and Paul VI, and here in the parish of OLGC. I used my organizational and technology skills to those areas to help streamline programs, showcase them on the internet through website design, social media and communications to make the communities a fun and inviting place to be.
My talents and vocation then carried into people's homes, as I started my own personal organization business, "Find Your OASIS, LLC", so that everyone can have their own OASIS in some aspect of their home or life. An organized home or business helps people find things easier, so they have more time for family and friends.
I volunteered as the OLGC Webmaster for 11 years and have managed the Church website since 2012 including two website redesigns.
How I put my Faith into Action: Love of faith and love of job go hand in hand. I am a believer that God has given each individual special talents that we need to use every day to help one another to profess our faith. I try to lead by example by using my talents in my work and outside of work. I compliment others on their talents and invite or persuade them to use those talents in their jobs, with their families and in their community.
Favorite Activity Outside of Work: Spending time watching and engaging with my children.
Favorite Food: Cheese of any kind.
Favorite Moment you had in your Vocation: When people tell me good things about my children, because motherhood is my true vocation.
Fun Fact About You: I was 10 years old when I traveled on an airline by myself to visit friends in Mexico City.
Favorite Quote: "Strange, isn't it? Each man's life touches so many other lives. When he isn't around he leaves an awful hole, doesn't he?" - Clarence, It's a Wonderful Life
Favorite Saint: St. Joseph
