Professional Background

I have been blessed to teach in many states and have had the opportunity to teach many grades. My Oklahoma, Hawaii, and Virginia teaching experiences includes kindergarten, second, third, and fourth grades. My school counseling experience includes working with grades K-8.

Faith in Action

I put "Faith in Action" in each lesson by reminding students how we are to be like Christ. I also give students opportunities to share real-life situations and we center those discussions around God and our faith.

Favorite Teaching Moment

When students immediately put into practice what they've learned. For example, when the second grade class began to implement the use of "I Messages" after learning about it. Weeks later, I caught several students using it with each other :)

Favorite Activity Outside of School

Watching my boys play the sports they love and when the whole family is together at dinner!
