Professional Background
I began my teaching career at Good Counsel High School where I taught Honors English 2 for 10 years. After staying home for a number of years raising my children, I went back to work at OLGC as an instructional aide and middle school literature teacher before moving to Bishop O’Connell High School where I taught English 3 Honors, coached field hockey and moderated the Junior class for seven years.
Faith in Action
Micah 6:8 connects my faith with my actions, and I try to apply the meaning of this passage to teaching (note the word try; doing so is a continuous work in progress): “Do what is right” - Let God’s truths permeate my words and actions. “Love mercy” -Be kind and understanding of my students' and colleagues’ struggles. “Walk humbly with God” - Set aside pride, be genuine and model Christ.
Favorite Teaching Moment
I loved when class was over and as my students exited the classroom they said thank you.
Favorite Food
Italian
Favorite Activity Outside of School
Watching my kids play sports, doing home DIY projects, cooking and playing golf. Sorry-I can't list just one ;)
Fun Fact About Me
