Professional Background
This is my 3rd year at Our Lady of Good Counsel. Previously, I worked at special education schools for 7 years, first as a classroom teacher and then as a K-12 school librarian.
Faith in Action
My faith is what initially attracted me to the ministry of education - to become the best teacher I could be in order to provide my students with the kind of holistic and transformative formation that I was blessed with. I believe education is the most meaningful way to evangelize the Gospel and change the world, one student interaction at a time.
Favorite Teaching Moment
There is nothing more fun or fulfilling to me than reading aloud with students and sharing my love of stories with them. I especially love our Caldecott unit, where we discuss and analyze the visual elements in picture books and debate which title is most deserving to win the Medal. It is a highlight of my year every year!
Favorite Food
Anything chocolate
Favorite Activity Outside of School
Reading, baking, walking my dog
Fun Fact About Me
